Athul is a Mumbai-based editorial and commercial photographer who has photographed everyone from the chefs behind India’s top restaurants, to the Dalai Lama Himself. When Abu Dhabi-born and Kerala-bred Athul started with capturing his family and friends on Olympus point-and-shoot film, he didn’t know he wouldn’t want to stop. His sole purpose in life is to work towards creating events that fill up a glass bottle of memories on his side table, and create images that make the most of these experiences.
Most recently heading the photo department at Condé Nast Traveller India, he specialises in shooting travel and food during his adventures. When not visualising client briefs, Athul is most likely working on personal projects (ask him about how he’s using a dabba phone to see the world a bit differently). His work has been featured in Architectural Digest India, Condé Nast Traveller India, National Geographic Traveller India, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and Buzzfeed among others.
